Support your fellow New Zealander and help get rid of this stupid law which comes in to effect later this month. Section 92 gives copyright holders the power to accuse people of copyright infringement without any proof! This law needs to be repelled.
Section 92 of the Copyright Amendment Act assumes Guilt Upon Accusation and forces the termination of internet connections and websites without evidence, without a fair trial, and without punishment for any false accusations of copyright infringement. We should speak out against injustices like Guilt Upon Accusation being done in the name of artists and protecting creativity.
Windows 7 is the newest operating system due out from Microsoft. Microsoft stated in 2007 they were planning Windows 7 development for a three-year time frame starting after the release of its predecessor, Windows Vista. Microsoft has stated that the final release date would be determined by product quality.
We decided to take Windows 7 for a test drive. There was a lot of fuss when Windows Vista was first released. First there were reports on how much slower it was than XP, then we had all the bugs that went with it. Finally Microsoft released Service Pack 1 and things seem to be a lot smoother for the troubled operating system. It is reported now that Windows Vista is finally being adopted by companies around the world. We wondered if Windows 7 will be any different.
We fired up our test box, a Quad Core AMD processor 9550, 4GB memory and 500GB Hard Drive.
As it turns out, Google did not develop a calendar and contacts synchronization platform all on its own. Rather, it licensed Exchange Server patents from Microsoft, in a deal that company is describing today as an “open” license
This is very important. Microsoft is now sharing protocols. Interesting to see what happens next.
Interesting situation. A few days ago I had a customers machine that had been pulled off a domain without syncing the offline files. These files had no been synced for a good 1.5 years. Ouch. Anyway, to cut a long story short, we had to recover a few GB of offline files to a new machine. Is this possible? Well yes it is. Many users have reported that they are having problems installing .net 3.5 SP1 or .net 3.0. There are many issues that can cause this problem. After much testing we have found the best way to fix this problem is to run the .net cleanup tool and install .net 3.5 SP1 once it has finished. We recommend removing all .Net versions on your system unless you specifically need one.
[Update: This can also be caused by IIS being installed. If you do not require IIS, uninstall it then try installing the .Net 3.5 SP1 framework again]
Instructions 1. Run .Net Cleanup Tool 2. Remove all versions of the .Net framework from your computer 3. Restart your computer 4. Install .Net Framework 3.5 SP1
